What this project is
AllBankComplaints.com is a data-transparency project built on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's public Consumer Complaint Database. That database is openly available through a public, keyless API that anyone can already access and query directly. This project starts from that same public source and organizes selected records into readable rankings and trends that show how complaints are distributed and how they shift over time. The intent is to present what is already public in a form that is easier to scan, compare, and understand than raw data dumps or record-by-record search results, without introducing new underlying facts.
Why it exists
Complaint data may be public, but in its raw form it is not easily usable by most people. Large datasets and individual complaint records can be difficult to interpret without considerable time, background context, or technical familiarity with the categories involved. This project exists to make broader patterns in bank and fintech complaints more visible and more comparable across institutions in a consistent format. By emphasizing aggregate trends rather than isolated cases, AllBankComplaints.com is intended to give everyday consumers researching a bank or fintech added context that can support further reading and careful consideration.
Independence
AllBankComplaints.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. It is also not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any bank, fintech company, or other financial institution. It uses only the CFPB's public complaint data as its source material and does not speak for the Bureau or for any company whose records appear in that data. Any rankings, groupings, or summaries on this site reflect this project's own organization of that public information for transparency and public-interest purposes, not an official determination about any institution.

AllBankComplaints.com is an early and actively evolving project that is still being built out. Its coverage, methods, and presentation may change over time as additional aspects of the public data are explored and as the approach to explaining limitations and context is refined.
